Sarah Baartman District Municipality invites suitable suppliers to quote for the Design, Produce/Supply and Deliver Promotional Material. The Promotional Items must be designed according to the Corporate Identity of the Municipality by the supplier, the design must be signed off by the SBDM Communications Officer before the items are produced, samples of each item must also be presented to the Communications Officer before the final sign-off. The Promotional Material must be delivered to SBDM offices, 32 Govan Mbeki Avenue, Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth). The Promotional Items comprise of the following:
Specifications: Item 1- Building Signage
Redo outside metal building signage. Specifications to be discussed during the mandatory meeting.
Item 2 - Diaries Design and production of branded hardcover diaries (padded covers, gold corners, page-a-day, Saturday and Sunday on one page
80 A4 padded diaries 80 A5 padded diaries
Item 3 - Notebooks Design and production of 300 branded soft touch notebooks in 3 different colours (100 x black, 100 x green, 100 x orange).
- Material: PU Cover - Size: 14cm x 21cm x 1.5cm - Capacity: A5. 96 Lined Pages
Item 4 - Desk pad Calendars Design, layout and print of 160 A2 Desk Pad Calendars. Print in full colour, 12 leaves printed on 80gsm bond paper, trimmed, collated and padded onto backing board with 2 plastic corners attached. Public Holidays and school holidays to be highlighted. The design and artwork must be developed in conjunction with the SBDM Communications Officer. Artwork must creative and innovative.
Item 5 - Wall Calendars Design, layout and print of 160 A1 wall calendars. Print in full colour on 1 side only on 120gsm, pristine gloss paper, and gold rim on top and bottom with hanger/hook on top. Public Holidays and school holidays to be highlighted. The design and artwork must be developed in conjunction with the SBDM Communications Officer. Artwork must creative and innovative.
Item 6 – Executive Pull-up Banners Design and production of 8 branded executive pull up banners. The design and artwork must be developed in conjunction with the SBDM Communications Officer. Artwork must creative and innovative.
Item 7 – Foldable Heavy Duty Trolley 4 x 4 foldable trolley to cart branding.

Item 8 – Telescopic Banners Design and production of 10 telescopic banners with carry bag and hammer. The design and artwork must be developed in conjunction with the SBDM Communications Officer. Artwork must creative and innovative.
Size – 70cm x 400cm (4m) with 22mm powder-coated steel tube and 6mm flexible fibreglass rod as well as a ground spike.Carry Bag to be included.
Full colour printing on both sides (CMYK).
Item 9 – Branded Paper Bags
500 branded paper bags.

Item 10 – A4 Folders
Design and Production of 1000 branded A4 Presentation Folders. The design and artwork must be developed in conjunction with the SBDM Communications Officer. Artwork must creative and innovative.
Item 11 – Ballpoint pens
400 green ball black ink ballpoint pens with SBDM logo printed on it ‘print must be large and visible’.
Item 12 – 500ml BPA free water bottles
100 green and 100 orange 500 ml BPA free water bottles with SBDM and 7 wonders logo printed on it ‘print must be large and visible’.
Item 13 – Wall banners
Design and production of Wall banner x 2, with trolley (wheels) carry bag. The design and artwork must be developed in conjunction with the SBDM Communications Officer. Artwork must creative and innovative.

First wall banner - 2250mm x 2250mm Second wall banner - 3000mm x 2250mm
Item 14 – Permit mail branded envelopes
4000 branded permit mail enveloped. (1000 x DL White Envelopes with window, 2000 B4 White Envelopes with no window, 1000 C5 White Envelopes with no window). All 4000 envelopes must be banded with SBDM logo and SBDM Mail Permit number. The back of the envelope must hve SBDM contact detailes printed.

NB: Any deviation from the above specifications by a supplier will not be accepted.
Evaluation Criteria The quotations will be evaluated on a 80/20 preference points system as per the Preferential Procurement Regulations, 2022. Only those qualifying Bids will be evaluated in terms of the 80/20 preference points systems, where the 80 will be used for price (VAT inclusive) and a maximum of 10 points allocated for locality and a maximum of 10 for points allocated for B-BBEE status level of contribution as follows:
NB: In order to claim for these points, Bidders are required to submit an original and valid B-BBEE Status Level Verification Certificates or certified copies or the Sworn Affidavits together with their Bids to substantiate their B-BBEE rating claims.
Points allocated for Locality.
NB: In order to claim points for locality, prospective bidders are required to submit proof of address of office dealing with the project. A valid lease agreement/municipal account in name of bidder must be submitted. Failure will result in preference points not being allocated.
