SPECIFICATION

Quotations are requested from Service Providers for Supply and Delivery OF 2 SKID UNITS for local Municipalities.

PUMP FEATURES AND APPLICATIONS

•               SUCTION CONFIGURATION 

The pump inlet must be incorporated into a compact suction housing, with easy access to the suction flap valve and the other pump internals. 

•               CHOICE OF SUCTION SIZES 

The suction housing must be standard 1 ½ “BSP, or  2” BSP

•               LARGER PRIMING AND DRAIN PORTS 

It should be easy to fill the pump for priming and make it easier to drain and flush pump out after use. 

•               BAYONET STYLE PRIMING AND DRAIN PLUGS 

Be able to incorporate a decompression function and a safety retention system, to make it easy to safely access the priming and drain ports. 

•               INTEGRAL HANDLE 

It should be conveniently positioned and comfortable to grip.

•               FOUR-WAY DISCHARGE 

To allow for easy installation and more connection options with 2 x 1 ½ “and 2 x 2” outlets. 

•               DUAL FLOATING NECK RINGS 

Patented independent floating neck rings should be fitted both front and rear of the impeller to ensure optimal pump performance is maintained, even after months and years of use. 

•               THRUST BALANCE 

To be capable of subjecting axial (parallel to the shaft) thrust to the engine. The higher the pressure the greater thrust potentially is created, which can shorten engine life.

•               HIGH QUALITY EPOXY POWDER COATED

Evaluation Criteria

The quotations will be evaluated on a 80/20 preference points system as per the Preferential Procurement Regulations, 2022.

Only those qualifying Bids will be evaluated in terms of the 80/20 preference points systems, where the 80 will be used for price (VAT inclusive) and a maximum of 10 points allocated for locality and a maximum of 10 for points allocated for B-BBEE status level of contribution as follows:

NB: In order to claim for these points, Bidders are required to submit an original and valid B-BBEE Status Level Verification Certificates or certified copies or the Sworn Affidavits together with their Bids to substantiate their B-BBEE rating claims.

Points allocated for Locality.

NB: In order to claim points for locality, prospective bidders are required to submit proof of address of office dealing with the project. A valid lease agreement/municipal account in name of bidder must be submitted. Failure will result in preference points not being allocated.

Payment For Services

Payment will be issued after the service has been rendered.

All relevant information must accompany all quotations submitted. No late or incomplete quotation will be accepted for consideration.

The municipality reserves the right not to accept the lowest or any quotation and no reason for the acceptance or rejection of a quotation will be furnished.

General

·       All prices will be evaluated inclusive of VAT, except where a non-VAT vendor has submitted a responsive bid. In this case, all bids prices will be evaluated exclusive of VAT.

·       The municipality reserves the right to accept full or part of the quote.

·       The Service provider need to submit list of similar projects recently completed within last 5years with contactable references.

·       Quotations to be valid for 60 days from the closing date.

·       Products must be SABS Approved and be installed according to manufacturer’s standards.

Formal written price quotations should be submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly marked “QUOTATION NO: 45/2023: SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF 2 SKID UNITS FOR LOCAL MUNICIPALITIES”, which must be placed in the quotation box, 4th Floor, Govan Mbeki Avenue, Port Elizabeth, before 12h00 noon on 3^RD NOVEMBER 2023
